Week 9 Literacy Reflection

Word Work 
Meaning
Vengeance - Punishment inflicted or retribution exacted for an injury or wrong.  
Reservoir - The Large natural or artificial lake as a source of water supply.
Righteous - Morally right or justifiable.
Saboteur - A person who engages in sabotage
Scrupulously - In a very careful and thorough way.
Occurrence - An incident or event.
Pantomime - a theatrical entertainment, mainly for children, which involves music, topical jokes, and slapstick comedy and is based on a fairy tale or nursery story, usually produced around Christmas - Christmas is a time where family gets together and Santa comes and delivers presents.
Refuge - The state of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger or difficulty.
Predecessor - A person who held a job or office before the current holder
Marvelous - Causing great wonder; extraordinary
Commercial - concerned with or engaged in commerce
Photograph - A picture made using a camera, in which is an image is focused on to light sensitive material and then made visible and permanent by chemical treatment or stored digitally
Authority- The Power or right to give orders.
Humorous - Causing laughter and amusement.

Writing Camp Reflection
Intro
2 Weeks ago Mamaku 1 went on camp to Westport on the 6-8 of March. We stayed at the University of Canterbury where we had delicious meals cooked by the parents. We also went to many places like Charleston gold mine, Nile River, The Seal colony and Deniston and lots more.

Paragraph 1 - What
Westport camp 2017 was a fun camp where we got to go to lots of different places. We stayed at a nicely cleaned place and the parents cooked us delicious meals.

On Westport camp we went to The Seal Colony , Nile River , Deniston and The Aquatic centre and Museums. We also stayed at the University of Canterbury which was a nice place with enough room for everyone.

We went to westport for school camp, we do school camp every year.

Mamaku 1 Miss Panther and Mrs Clark came to Westport
